When you access our website, information is automatically sent to the server (server log files): IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser and operating system used. This data is used exclusively to ensure smooth operation and is deleted after 14 days.
When creating an account we collect: name, email address, and optionally company and phone number. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract).
When performing location analyses, we store the entered addresses and analysis results in your user account. This data is required to provide our service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Your data is not transferred to third parties as a matter of principle, unless we are legally obliged to do so or the transfer is necessary to fulfil the contract. We use the following third-party providers: Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting), Google Maps Platform (geocoding), OpenStreetMap (map data).
Session cookie (authentication): Set upon login, used to identify your user account. This cookie is technically necessary and is deleted upon logout or when the session expires.
loklu_consent (localStorage): Stores your cookie preference (whether you accepted or declined analytical cookies). Technically necessary to document your consent in accordance with TTDSG § 25.
Plausible Analytics: Plausible Analytics is only loaded if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. Plausible collects exclusively anonymous usage statistics — no personal data, no IP addresses, and no cookies in the traditional sense are stored. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the "loklu_consent" entry in your browser storage.
No tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cookies from social networks are used.
You have the right at any time to: access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR), deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
We use SSL/TLS encryption for all data transfers. Passwords are stored exclusively as cryptographic hashes. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised employees.
Personal data is deleted once the purpose for storage no longer applies. Upon deletion of your account, all personal data will be irrevocably deleted within 30 days, unless statutory retention periods prevent this.
