What is Loklu?
Loklu is an AI-powered location intelligence platform for Germany. We analyze any location using over 50 data sources and 20 scoring dimensions — including rental prices, competitive landscape, foot traffic, demographics, infrastructure, labor market and economic forecasts. Results are summarized in an easy-to-understand score (0–100), complemented by a detailed AI analysis report with concrete recommendations.
Who is Loklu for?

Which regions are supported?
Loklu analyzes any location in Germany — from major cities to medium-sized towns and rural communities. Our database covers comprehensive information for all federal states. Data quality is naturally highest in metropolitan areas, but we also deliver reliable results for smaller locations. The integrated quality assurance transparently shows you data availability and result confidence.
How current is the data?
Our data sources are updated regularly — competitive data and reviews several times per week, demographic and economic data quarterly, infrastructure data monthly. Each analysis shows the currency status of the data used.

How does the Loklu Score work?
The Loklu Score (0–100) is based on a weighted analysis across 20 dimensions, including location and accessibility, market potential, competitive situation, demographic structure, infrastructure, rental price level, labor market, safety, seasonality and financial forecasts. The weighting is adjusted by industry — a restaurant is evaluated differently than an office location. Our quality assurance engine additionally checks result confidence and flags potential data gaps.
What happens during a Deep Analysis?
During a Deep Analysis, your location passes through 7 specialized analysis modules in parallel: sociodemographic analysis, competitive and market analysis, labor market and staffing availability, risk and safety assessment, infrastructure and accessibility, financial and profitability analysis, and market trends and forecasts. The synthesis engine then consolidates all results into a comprehensive report. The entire process typically takes under 2 minutes.
Where does the data come from?
We use over 50 data sources: official statistics (Federal Statistical Office, Federal Employment Agency), open geodata (OpenStreetMap, public transit data), commercial databases (rental price indices, footfall data), satellite analysis and our own AI-powered evaluations (competitive landscape, review analysis, trend forecasts). All sources are automatically validated for currency and plausibility.
What do the individual sub-scores mean?
Each analysis includes detailed sub-scores for 20 dimensions — including traffic (foot traffic), demographics, competition, public transit connectivity, economic climate, infrastructure, risk assessment, rental costs, parking, demand trends and more. Each sub-score is rated on a scale of 0–100 and individually explained in the analysis report.

What is the Location Finder?
The Finder automatically searches available commercial spaces in your desired region and evaluates each location with the Loklu Score. This way you don't just find a space — you find the optimal location for your business. Filters by industry, budget, minimum score and space size refine the results.
What is Location Monitoring?
Monitoring continuously watches your existing locations. You receive notifications when relevant factors change — a new competitor nearby, changing rental prices, demographic shifts or infrastructure updates. This lets you react proactively before problems arise.
What is the Scenario Planner?
The Scenario Planner enables what-if analyses: How does your score change if rent rises by 20%? What happens with a new competitor? How does population growth affect things? This lets you make informed decisions before you invest — based on simulated scenarios rather than gut feeling.
Do you offer an API?
Yes, a full REST API is available in the Professional and Enterprise plans. This allows you to integrate Loklu analyses directly into your own systems — CRM, ERP, real estate portals or BI dashboards. Documentation and sandbox access are available after registration.

Is Loklu free?
The Starter plan is permanently free and includes 3 full Deep Analyses per month. For unlimited analyses, premium features like Scenario Planner, Monitoring, Portfolio Management and API access, Professional and Enterprise plans are available. Find all details on our pricing page.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, all plans are cancellable monthly — with no minimum contract period and no hidden costs. You can cancel at any time in your profile settings. After cancellation you retain access to all features until the end of the paid period.
Are there discounts for annual subscriptions?
Yes, with annual billing you save compared to the monthly price. Enterprise customers receive individual terms — contact us for a tailored offer.
How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time in the profile settings. All your data will be irrevocably removed in accordance with GDPR. For questions about data protection contact us at info@loklu.de.
Privacy & Security
How does Loklu handle my data?
Loklu is GDPR-compliant and all data is processed and stored on servers in Germany. Your analysis data is used exclusively for your account and not shared with third parties. Detailed information can be found in our privacy policy.
Can other users see my analyses?
No. All your analyses, location data and reports are visible only to your account. In the Enterprise plan you can set up team access to selectively share results with colleagues.
